Did you know that getting your flu shot is the best way to protect yourself and your loved ones from influenza and its complications? VNA Health Care strongly encourages everyone over the age of nine years to attend one of our local flu shot clinics this flu season. For payment and eligibility information, please click here.

This year’s seasonal flu vaccine also protects against some strains of the H1N1 flu.

Flu shots: $39. Deduct $9. for payment at time of the clinic, prompt pay: $30. The following are the only forms of payment accepted this year:

Over 65 years of age:Medicare Part B, Aetna Managed Medicare, Anthem Managed Medicare, ConnectiCare Managed Medicare, cash or check.

Under 65: Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, ConnectiCare, cash or check.

Please note that VNA Health Care cannot give the flu shot to children under the age of 9 years. Also, the Centers for Disease Control suggest that some people check with their doctor before vaccination. This includes anyone with allergies to eggs; anyone with a history of Guillain-Barré syndrome and persons who are ill and have a fever.
