Meals on Wheels Receives Donation from Mountain Laurel
GLASTONBURY– The Mountain Laurel Senior Living Community donated $500 to VNA HealthCare’s Meals on Wheels program today. “In our effort to encourage our residents to feel a part of and to give back to the larger community, we chose to support VNA HealthCare’s Meals on Wheels program this month,\" stated Marti Curtiss, Director of Marketing at the assisted living community. Representing the residents to present the check was June Stout.
Meals on Wheels delivers 187,000 meals a year, mostly with volunteers, to people who are unable to shop or safely prepare meals in the Hartford and Waterbury regions covered by the agency.
