Flatbread Fundraiser to Benefit Nurturing Families
Take Home a Pizza, Give a Slice of Hope!
CANTON, CT - The Flatbread Company at the Shoppes at Farmington Valley will donate a portion of all dine-in and take-out pizzas ordered on Tuesday, February 23rd between 5:00 and 9:00 p.m. to VNA HealthCare’s Nurturing Families Program. Proceeds will help support the immediate needs of this under-funded program.
The first 40 customers who order two or more pizzas during the event will receive a free book, “The Little Red Hen Makes Pizza”. A free activity will also be available to all attending children.
VNA HealthCare’s Nurturing Families Program is for first-time parents who are identified as being at high-risk of child abuse and neglect. Parents and their newborns are paired with a “home visitor” until the child’s fifth birthday. The program’s ultimate goal is to grow loving and healthy family systems by teaching positive parenting and bonding skills, money and household management skills, conflict management, self-esteem and problem solving abilities.
